I’m not sure why we don’t hear more about mango lassi. I see smoothie shops all over, even those boba tea shops, but mango lassi is the original smoothie. A simple blend of mango and yogurt, they are a little bit sweet and very refreshing.

I’m loving this whole roast cauliflower trend I’m seeing everywhere. Roasted cauliflower is always a hit in our house and this is such a pretty way to serve it up. The lemon and caper version from Epicurious is one of my current favorites and I can’t wait to try this paprika and thyme version from Jamie Oliver. But I’m loving this tandoori-style version that I made up using leftovers from my tandoori chicken spice blend. The result? Perfectly roasted and mildly spiced cauliflower that my whole family loved. I’m not exaggerating – the last cauliflower was inhaled in about 2 minutes.
I rarely get the opportunity to entertain. We live in a shoebox-size apartment without a dining room or central air, but we have a backyard that’s perfect for days when we have nice weather. Last weekend was beautiful (if you can handle 90% humidity) and our grass was cut, so the plan was to grill for our neighbors. Even the timing for dinner came together perfectly! It was like the stars were aligned and the grilling gods wanted dinner to be a huge success. And it was! Any grilled me is a success when you are feeding apartment dwellers that don’t have a grills, but this Tandoori Chicken was also a hit. Super flavorful with just a bit of heat, it is a great alternative to your standard bbq chicken.
